MURDER
Police are investigating an apparent murder which occurred on the 17.09.09 at El Progresso Village, Cayo District. Initial investigation revealed that Pedro COB was involved in a misunderstanding with Zacharias TESECUM and Pedro HERNANDEZ, where TESECUM inflicted chop wounds to COB which caused the fatal injuries. Police has detained Zacharias TESECUM and Pedro HERNANDEZ for questioning.
ROBBERY
On 17.09.09, Police visited Riversdale/Placencia Road where two delivery men of Belmopan City reported that whilst driving the Madisco Toyota Truck, upon reaching the dump site area near a curve, a pickup truck came from the opposite direction stopping in front of him . Five men armed with knives and guns alighted the pickup. Both were then pulled out of the vehicle. Stolen from Eliazar PINEDA were the following items 14k gold chain, wallet with ID, $40.00 bcy and Samsung Cellular phone. Stolen from Aaron LOPEZ were his black cellular phone, (1) black wallet, ID and approximately $700.00bcy belonging to the company. Assorted Independence, milport and colonial cigarettes, biscuits, bio color Clorox, foca soap powder value unknown were stolen. Police are investigating.
ROBBERY
Police are investigating a brazen home invasion which occurred in Lords Bank Village, Belize District. On 20.09.09 at 12:30am, three male persons entered the home of Rhaburn Jones, Carminia Pun, and Ashely Thompson, by kicking down the door brandishing firearms and demanding money and drugs. The three men then assaulted the occupants causing injuries. They then search the home and stole an undisclosed amount of money and assorted jewelries and thereafter fled the scene.
MURDER
Police are investigating a murder which occurred on 22.09.09 at 12:05am near the Cinderalla Plaza, in Belize City. Police were called out to the location where they saw Deon Marvin Meighan, 30yrs, of #9 Mex Avenue, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound above the right eye. Initial investigation reveals that at about 12:00am the victim was walking from a night Club along with two males and a female when a lone gunman of fair complexion about 5’ 8”in height with a white shirt over his head walk from the direction of Chon Saan Palace on Kelly Street and fired three (3) shots causing the fatal injury. Police have since detained two persons for questioning pending investigation.
ROBBERY
On 21.09.09 at 12:30am a robbery was in progress in the Kings Park Area. Quick police response led to the apprehension of Lawrence Owen Longworth who was robbing four male minors. Police conducted a search on the culprit which led to the discovery of (1) black CZ83 Browning Court brand 9mm Pistol with its magazine containing four (4) .380 live rounds. Police have arrested and charged Longsworth, 27yrs, of #77 Vernon Street with (1) count of Robbery, (3) counts of Attempt Robbery and (1) count of Kept Firearm without a gun license and (1) count of Kept Ammunition without a gun license.
SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on 19.09.09. About10:55 pm Police visited the KHMH where they observed Mauricio RODRIGUEZ, 20yrs, of #50 Green Street, Belama Phase 1V, Belize City suffering from an apparent gun shot wound to the left lower leg. Initial investigation revealed that the victim was sitting on a cement fence on Lindos Alley when a male person riding a bicycle fired several shots at him causing the said injury.
MURDER
Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on the 19.09.09. At about 7:15am Police visited a house situated on Calle Sinley Street, Valley of Peace Village, where they saw Miguel MENDOZA, 49yrs, lying motionless with a cut wound to the upper part of his head. A second male person, Jose Luis MEDINA, 36yrs, was also seen lying face up on a small wooden bed with a cut wound across the face.
SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on 18.09.09. About 10:25pm Police visited the KHMH Trauma Room where a 16year old male minor of Belize City was seen suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the back. Initial investigation revealed that the victim was standing at the corner of Ebony Street and Mayflower Street when two male persons rode towards his direction and fired several shots causing the injuries. Police investigation continues.
SUDDEN DEATH
Belize City Police visited Louise Bevans Street, on 22.09.09 where they discovered the partially decomposed body of Robert Maurice Jones, a U.S national lying face up in pool water. A post mortem was conducted on the body but because of the advance state of decomposition, the post mortem was inconclusive as to the cause of death. Police investigation continues in regards to this incident.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Police are investigating the theft of a Motor Vehicle made by Karen Santiago of Belize City who reported that on 22.09.09, she gave a mechanic on Vernon Street her 1993 (4) four door Geo Metro car (L/P 18235) to repair. He has not returned the car and she has not heard from him.
CARNAL KNOWLEDGE
A Guatemalan domestic of Independence Village visited the station accompanied by her 9 year old daughter who reported that on 9.09.09, between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm, whilst at home, one Francisco Galeas, took her into a room and had sexual intercourse with her. The child was taken to a doctor who certified that she was carnally known. As a result Police have arrested and charged Francisco Galeas with the offence of Carnal Knowledge.
STABBING INCIDENT
Police are investigating a stabbing incident which occurred on 23.09.09, on Cemetery Road in Belize City. Police visited K.H.M.H where they observed Conrad Guzman suffering from an apparent stab wound to the left side of the chest. Guzman reported to Police that he was in front on Cemetery Road when he got into an altercation with Gerald Westby who inflicted the stab wound to him. Police have since detained Gerald Westby of a Mahogany Street address pending charges.
