Minister Castro believes that he can do and say anything he wants to.  Well, the villagers of Maskall Village would like to know if Minister “Clear the Land” Castro (the hog) is above the law.  This weekend he was shooting away his 9mm pistol in public behind the Maskall Police Station; reserve land he took for himself to put his Tilapia pond.  He killed six crocs and gave them to the kids to eat when he could have given them tilapia from his fish pond. The villagers would like to know if there isn’t a law which talked about endangered (killing six crocs) species.

The villagers also want to know why the Police did nothing when the matter was reported to him.  One of the kids could have been killed by a stray bullet; would it have been ok for him to say sorry or give a small monetary contribution to the family or a tent and some rice & beans as he usually does?  This action of the hog minister is reckless and irresponsible.  We are calling on the police and Audubon to investigate this matter.

We want to know if it is ok to shoot in public; if it is ok, that means each and everyone can get a firearm and do what they want.  We want the Maskall Police to arrest the minister for this gun violation that was reported to him the same way the Chairman of Lucky Strike Village was arrested when Minister Castro filed a report against him.

Clear the Land Castro is just a big lie – he cares not one whit for the people of Belize Rural North, but only for himself.  In just 18 months he owns a school run, a tilapia pond in Maskall, a resort in Maskall and Bomba already equipped with cabanas and canoes, land set aside for a resort near Mexico Creek in Sandhill Village, a bull dozer utilized by the City Council at the garbage dump in Belize City, two tractors that are engaged in bushing the shoulders of the old northern highway from Maskall to Carmelita, and two SUVs he recently purchased for his wife and daughter.  He is doing little or nothing for his supporters.  We are calling on the leaders of our UDP party to do something about this Minister.  Where is his money coming from?  Minister Castro (the hog) is involved in big corruption.  Prime Minister, don’t allow this one get out of hand like what happened at City Hall.    Come on PM; please do something now. The UDP supporters of Belize Rural North are fed up.
