Questions to Ministers

Would the Minister of Health please explain why Belizeans with kidney failure will not be able to access dialysis treatment at a very affordable cost? Would the honourable gentleman be able to say why his Ministry was not able to close the deal when 8 dialysis machines were offered to Belize free of cost?

Would the Minister of Human Development please confirm or deny rumours that the new facility in Belmopan which is supposed to revolutionize the treatment of the mentally ill is not accepting new patients? Can the Minister further say if there is any national plan to treat those with mental illnesses who walk our streets every day?

Would the Minister of Works be willing to provide proof of the qualifications of those who have been given contracts to repair different sections of the Northern and Western Highways and repair culverts? Would the Minister be able to confirm or deny rumours that some of those given contracts have no experience in the sort of work they are doing?

Would the Minister of National Security please say what exactly was done with the $97million allocated to his Ministry, since the Coast Guard personnel who responded to the scene of the tragic accident on the Northern Highway could not attempt a rescue because they did not have the equipment necessary?
