Linsford Baldwin, 20, a laborer of Ebony Street who was caught with a black pen gun, was sentenced to 5 years on Monday, November 21, in the #2 Magistrate’s Court after he pleaded guilty to kept firearm without a gun license.

Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser gave Baldwin the minimum sentence. The maximum sentence is 10 years.

The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, November 20.

The police reported that they were on mobile patrol on Princess Margaret Drive when they saw Baldwin in front of Ceasar’s Palace acting in a suspicious manner.

The police said they stopped and they informed Baldwin that a search will be conducted on him.

The search resulted in the discovery of a black pen gun without any serial number tucked in the front waist of his pants.

The firearm did not have any ammunition in it, so Baldwin was only charged with kept firearm without a gun license.
