Frmr. Solicitor General Elson Kaseke laid to rest

On Friday, December 9th, a funeral service was held for former Solicitor General Elson Kaseke in the City of Belmopan.
Kaseke passed away on Wednesday, December 7, while receiving treatment for an unspecified illness in Merida. He was 46 years of age.
The service was held in front of the Kaseke and Company law office on Pineapple Street, where friends, colleagues and close family said farewell to Kaseke.
Kaseke, a native of Zimbabwe, Africa came to Belize after obtaining a Master’s in Law (LLM) from the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill, Barbados. Among the most prestigious titles for which he served, Kaseke was the Commissioner of the last Law Review conducted, and Solicitor General from 2001 to 2006.
Kaseke was pre-deceased by his wife, Tsitsi, and son, Solomon, and today. His only surviving child, his daughter Jane, attended the service accompanied by her classmates.
